Welcome to Driftwood Conversations
Driftwood Conversations is more than a podcast—it's a space to explore the beauty, resilience, and wisdom in ordinary yet extraordinary lives. Each conversation is a journey that connects me to the sacred every day and celebrates the creative and transformative power of connecting to another human being.
Connections is the gift I receive that I want to share with you.
Driftwood Conversations encourages intimate, personal conversations with artists, thinkers, and individuals who navigate life with zest and abandonment, having no idea where they will end up but going anyway.
"Just do it, is my motto. I'll figure it out on the way."
Fred and Jim, two people in one of my episodes, are Creative Forces in LA and the Morongo Basin, where we have homes. I live here full-time. They started a residency in Joshua Tree almost 20 years ago and have influenced young and old artists in various disciplines. The residency gives artists 6 weeks to have absolute privacy and space to work, show, learn about this fantastic, unusual, and spiritual environment, and connect with the residents drawn here. That is a massive gift, but being around and receiving the wisdom and love emanating from Jim and Fred is the cherry on top.
Jim and Fred are a couple. When we spoke together, they opened up and spoke from their hearts. We cried, laughed, and spoke of things that mattered to all of us. We all walked away, moved, and expanded with the unmeasurable gift of connection.
The name Driftwood Conversations came from an old love of mine, Driftwood. It was planted in my heart initially by my mother, who loved walking on the beach and picking up Driftwood and pebbles. Those were precious moments of sharing.
Join the Conversation. I'd love to hear from you. Share your thoughts, reflections, and stories. I will continue to post about the people I'm meeting and even share resources I'm finding. Let's build a community and grow stronger together.

Here is a quote and an introduction to a new author and book I found yesterday in the web searches. I have not read it yet, but I bought it on audiobook. I love the sentiment of this paragraph, and I'm sure I'll share more.

"And this is it. This is the life we get here on earth. We get to give away what we receive. We get to believe in each other. We get to forgive and be forgiven. We get to love imperfectly. And we never know what effect it will have for years to come. And all of it…all of it is completely worth it." -
Very Inspiring!
